Pâques à Marquèze

Easter Day at Marquèze is a family tradition! Children go on an egg hunt - well, a cube hunt, but chocolate eggs are on the menu! Meanwhile, the whole district is alive with the sound of Gascon music, thanks to the traditional musicians strolling around.

And in the afternoon, Marquèze honors an ancient Landes shepherd tradition: the Easter omelette. Once, it is said, made with curlew eggs, today it's a fine omelette of hen's eggs, garnished according to home-made secrets, that will be served to you in the afternoon.
